Colored Inversion / Blueing

Current industry practice of colored inversion or blueing of seismic data requires that the relevant parameters are derived from one or more wells in the area of interest.

OpenGeoSolutions has developed algorithms that permit these techniques to be carried out without the need of a control well. Furthermore, our algorithms are time-variant down the seismic section, thus compensating for travel time related changes to the seismic response.

As with Spectral Inversion, if AVO products are deemed useful for lithology and fluid prediction, then color compensation of those AVO products will provide improved imaging of band limited impedance and band limited reflectivity.
